All players please note:

1.  Come early enough to complete your paperwork and get your photo taken in the cafeteria area before tryouts begin on court.  Allow yourself 45-60 minutes for this as it may be congested.  A parent signature is needed on some of the USAV forms before you may tryout, as well as the $30 tryout fee on Saturday.  Once that paperwork is completed, players are encouraged to move to the gym area to loosen up and get ready for the tryout session on the court. 

2.  Come dressed to play.  Lockers and showers are not available.  The weather may be cool; wear sweats or something warm for the trip to and from the gym.

3.  There is a $30 non-refundable tryout fee which you should pay on Saturday.  If paying by check, make it to "Team Yakima".  This covers the two-day tryout; no additional fee on Sunday.

4.  Not sure what age division you are in?  For most players, your school grade is a good guideline as noted on the schedule below, but there will be exceptions and it is VERY important to compare the USAV age guidelines to make certain you are in conformance.  The Age-Division Definitions for 2007-08 are are shown below: 

U-12 Division: Born after September 1, 1996

U-13 Division: Born after September 1, 1995

U-14 Division: Born after September 1, 1994

U-15 Division: Born after September 1, 1993

U-16 Division: Born after September 1, 1992

U-18 Division: Born after September 1, 1990 (or born after September 1, 1989 and a high school student during some part of the current academic year. 

5.  There is a pre-season information meeting for parents and prospective players scheduled for Tuesday December 2 at the Franklin Middle School Commons, 410 South 19th Avenue (off Tieton Drive) at 7 p.m.  This meeting is not mandatory but is highly recommended, especially for players new to Team Yakima.  It is especially important for prospective players who will not have a parent available on Saturday to sign forms that they have a parent attend this Tuesday meeting to fill out and sign the forms so that the player can participate in the weekend tryout sessions.  For those families planning to register at this pre-season information meeting, both parent and player should be present to sign the paperwork.

--- U-12 & U-18 at Lewis and Clark Middle School 

U12 (grades 6 and below): Lewis and Clark Middle School, 1114 W. Pierce, Yakima. This year, U-12's will tryout on both Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday: 

8 AM — Gym open for registration paper work and photos.

9 — Tryouts begin on court.

12 Noon — End of Saturday U12 tryouts. All players will return at 12 noon Sunday to continue tryout process. 

Sunday:

11:30--Gym opens, stretch out.

12:00 noon--Tryouts continue on court.

2:00 p.m.--Players will be assigned to teams and will meet with coaches to discuss practice schedule, competition plans, etc.

4 PM — End of Saturday tryouts. All players return at 2 p.m. Sunday to continue tryout process.

12:00 — Gym will be open during the U-12 Sunday tryout session
